The Blue Knights is a fraternal organization of Law Enforcement Officers who share a passion for motorcycle riding. 
The parent organization (Blue Knights International) was formed in the Bangor/Brewer Maine cities in 1974 by seven 
Law Enforcement Officers who rode motorcycles together.

In addition to hosting rides and runs for members and their families, the Blue Knights are very active in fundraising to benefit 
charitable organizations. As of September, 2007, internationally, Blue Knights have donated to charities contributing over 
162 thousand man-hours, goods with an estimated value of over $562 thousand, adding cash donations raised,
all totaling more than $8.9 million. (USD). 

As a member gets involved in Blue Knights they soon find the bond of Law Enforcement Officers is cemented by the extra bond 
provided by our love of motorcycling. There is no membership distinction as to rank, type of law enforcement department, 
or type of motorcycle. Just Blue Knights. Proof of our diversity shows in our leaders.
